A Mestizo-Canadian (Brunka and Czech) artist and designer, working and living in Ottawa. Interested in visualizing perceptions of memory and loss - in particular, the increased value of the mundane in retrospect.

Gabriel has shown through Heart Beat Gallery (Toronto, 2011 group show), intergenarts (Vaughn, I.AM Community 2016 group show), Dirty Laundry Gallery (Toronto, 2021 solo show), and contributed to various charity auctions in Quebec and Ontario.

His photography has been used in everything from a TED Talk about “Why some of us don’t have one true calling” (2015) through an article on Business Insider entitled “5 sneaky ways to uncover the truth about work-life balance in a job interview” (2015), and more recently in the inaugural issue of NOIA Magazine (2022).

His illustrations have appeared in Scribe Magazine (2016), on the cover of Naked Tuna’s As Above, So Below (2017), and more recently, the illustration Run Fool, is featured in Issue 6 of Ultra Magazine (2021). He was also one of the founding members of Red Pear Gallery, and served as its Director and CIO from 2020 through 2022.
